Smile Makeover & Hollywood Smile in Istanbul
Quick answer
A smile makeover is a personalised plan that combines several cosmetic treatments (usually porcelain veneers or crowns, teeth whitening and sometimes gum reshaping) to redesign your whole smile. With digital smile design, Dr. İşler previews the result on screen and on a trial smile before any tooth is touched. At our Istanbul clinic your makeover is agreed as a fixed, itemised quote once we've seen your photos and CBCT. Just contact us for a personalised quote.

What is a smile makeover, really?
A smile makeover isn’t a single treatment; it’s a plan. Dr. İşler combines whichever cosmetic treatments your smile actually needs (most often porcelain veneers, sometimes crowns, whitening or a little gum reshaping) into one coordinated design, rather than selling a fixed “package”. The goal is a natural result that suits your face, not a uniform wall of bright white teeth.
How digital smile design lets you see the result first
With Digital Smile Design we plan the shape, length and colour of your new teeth from photos and scans, then place a temporary mock-up (a “trial smile”) directly on your teeth. You see and approve the look before any tooth is prepared, and we adjust until you’re happy. Nothing permanent is made until the design is signed off.
Which treatments go into a makeover?
Every plan is different, but most combine some of:
- Porcelain veneers or crowns to reshape, straighten or lighten front teeth.
- Teeth whitening first, so veneers are matched to a brighter natural shade.
- Gum contouring to even out a “gummy” or uneven gum line.
- Fixing the foundation: any decay, old fillings or gum disease is treated before cosmetic work, because a beautiful veneer on an unhealthy tooth won’t last.
What it costs, honestly
Prices depend on how many teeth are treated and the materials you choose. Rather than a one-size figure, your written quote is fixed and agreed before you travel, based on your photos and CBCT. Contact us for a personalised, itemised quote.
Risks, maintenance and honest limits
A smile makeover combines several treatments, so it carries the risks of whichever ones your plan uses — most often veneers or crowns:
- Irreversibility where teeth are prepared. Any enamel reduced for a veneer or crown does not grow back, so the cosmetic parts of the plan are a long-term commitment.
- A healthy foundation comes first. Decay and gum disease are treated before any cosmetic work, because restorations placed on an unhealthy mouth fail quickly.
- Maintenance is part of the result. Restorations need good daily hygiene, regular check-ups and often a night guard; porcelain lasts many years but not forever and may eventually need replacing.
- Some cases need orthodontics first. Very crooked bites or heavy crowding are often healthier corrected with alignment than masked with restorations — we’ll tell you when that’s the better route.
Setting realistic expectations
We’ll tell you candidly what’s achievable. Veneers can dramatically improve colour, shape and alignment, but very crooked bites or heavy crowding sometimes need orthodontics first for a healthier, longer-lasting result, and Dr. İşler will say so rather than over-prepping healthy teeth. A good makeover should still look like your teeth, only better.
Key terms explained
- Digital Smile Design (DSD)
- A software workflow that plans and previews the shape, length and colour of your new teeth from photos and scans before any treatment begins.
- Diagnostic mock-up (trial smile)
- A temporary preview of the planned teeth placed directly in your mouth, so you can see and approve the look before anything permanent is made.
- Gingival contouring (gingivectomy)
