Who All-on-4 is for

All-on-4 is for people who have lost most or all of the teeth in a jaw, or whose remaining teeth are failing and beyond saving. It replaces a full arch with a fixed bridge anchored on four implants, a good fit if you are tired of a loose denture, or want to avoid one altogether. It is not the right answer for everyone: if you only have a few gaps, individual implants are usually the more conservative choice.

How All-on-4 compares to dentures and traditional implants

A removable denture rests on your gums, can slip when you eat or speak, and often covers the roof of your mouth. All-on-4 is screwed onto implants, so it stays put and leaves your palate free to taste food. Compared with replacing every tooth on its own implant (which can mean eight or more implants per arch), All-on-4 uses just four, angling the back two to make the most of your existing bone. For many patients that means less surgery, lower cost and no need for bone grafting.

Can you really get teeth in a day?

Often, yes. When your bone is dense enough to hold the implants firmly at placement, we can fit a fixed temporary bridge the same day (a technique called immediate loading), so you rarely leave without teeth. Your final, stronger bridge is fitted once the implants have fused, usually a few months later. We only load implants immediately when the bone allows it; if it doesn’t, we say so and use a healing period instead, because a rushed bridge that fails helps no one.

How the treatment works, step by step

1. Remote assessment. You send a CBCT scan or panoramic X-ray and photos on WhatsApp. Dr. İşler checks your bone volume, plans the implant positions and sends a fixed, itemised quote.
2. Surgery and temporary teeth (trip 1). Under local anaesthetic, any hopeless teeth are removed and four implants placed. Where the bone allows, a fixed temporary bridge goes on the same day.
3. Final bridge (trip 2). After 2–4 months of healing you return for the permanent bridge. Some patients complete everything in one longer trip; most prefer two.

Risks, and what to weigh

All-on-4 rests a whole arch on four implants, so alongside the usual implant risks — early failure, peri-implantitis, and (rarely) nerve or sinus involvement — there are a few full-arch specifics worth knowing:

• Fewer anchors, higher stakes. With only four implants, losing one is more disruptive than losing one of many and can mean remaking the bridge. All-on-6 or a graft is sometimes the safer choice when bone is very limited.
• The healing months matter. A same-day temporary bridge must be treated gently (a soft diet) while the implants fuse; overloading it early is a common cause of trouble.
• Cleaning is non-negotiable. A fixed full arch needs daily cleaning under the bridge (a water flosser helps) to prevent peri-implantitis, plus regular hygiene visits.
• Reasons to wait. Heavy smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and some bone medications (bisphosphonates) lower success — we stabilise these first and tell you honestly when a different plan is safer.
